DANI BORGEN / CHEF, ENTREPRENEUR, BUILDER

Food is where
everything
begins.*

I’m Dani Borgen. A chef who thinks beyond the plate; exploring how exceptional food is made, why it works, what makes it sell, and the systems behind it.

A young man in a black shirt is preparing a meal in a modern kitchen. He is plating food, with various ingredients and garnish on the counter. Kitchen appliances like a stand mixer and a portable stove are visible in the background.

I’m interested in what happens before, during, and after a great plate of food.

01 / BEYOND THE PLATE

The ingredients and techniques. The science of what makes them work. The choices that turn an idea into a product, and a product into a business.

Those questions began early. Today, they connect my work in cooking, education, marketing, and software development.

02 / THE CRAFT

First, the food.

Cooking is where my work begins. I approach it through technique, experimentation, and a fascination with how ingredients behave.

Through Mealing Foods, that approach becomes handcrafted desserts, seasonal specialties, and culinary products designed to be enjoyed and shared.

03 / THE THINKING

There's a
reason behind
every result.

I want to understand why a technique works, what drives flavor and texture, how people perceive value, and why certain businesses thrive while others struggle.

To me, culinary arts, food science, business, and technology aren't separate interests. They're different ways of asking better questions about the same industry.

04 / THE BUILDER

A person with brown hair and a white coat looking down at a white table with laboratory items, including test tubes, petri dishes, and a microscope.

Better ideas need better systems.

My experience inside family businesses taught me that great food and operational survival are not the same thing. Purchasing, pricing, people, and processes all matter.

That experience now informs the methods I develop for household food management through Borgenize Home and the food-business software I’m building through Oslobahn OS.

05 / THE ECOSYSTEM

Different ventures. One way of thinking.

Different challenges, a common approach: understand the problem, build a better way to work.
